Confirmation is a an educational ministry of the congregation which helps fulfill the baptismal commitment to “teach the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments, place in their hands the holy scriptures.” In confirmation, 7th and 8th graders learn key Bible stories and study Luther’s Small Catechism. This two year program culminates in the public Affirmation of Faith Rite which takes place on Sunday, May 1st at the 10:30 worship service.
Confirmation classes are held the second and fouth Sunday afternoon of each month, from September through April, meeting from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 pm.
This year, Pastor Ann Marshall will be teaching the class.
In April, we will meet on the 9th and 23rd at 4:00 p.m. Our topics will include worship, the devil, and doubt. These are our last two classes. We will confirm seven young people in worship on May 7.
